Attorney

We are currently seeking an attorney to join our unique practice. When we say unique, we mean it. We value creativity, efficiency and approachability. 

We are a remote-first firm and we were before the pandemic.

Salary would be based on experience, lower than biglaw, but (we’ve been told) above market for firms our size in the Raleigh area. Significant compensation potential may be based on productivity. Benefits include competitive PTO, flexible hours, paid health insurance, 401(k) match, reasonable bar dues and CLE expenses and other perks.

Specific work responsibilities will depend on skillset and desire to learn. Most needed by the firm right now is someone with experience in one or more of the following:

• Video Game and Software Contracts. Structuring, reviewing, drafting and negotiating transactions. 
• Corporate. Corporate formation, financing and M&A.
• Trademark prosecution.
• Privacy. Specifically consumer privacy in a technology environment.
• Employment. Generally, but also equity compensation.

Requirements:

• Admitted to practice in any jurisdiction and willing and able to be admitted in North Carolina (including sitting for the NC bar exam if required). California also desirable.
• Excellent communication, writing, research and analytical skills. 
• Ability to prepare documents with precision and accuracy, including an understanding of Word features like cross references and styles.
• Ability to take responsibility, work well under pressure and manage multiple wide-ranging matters and competing demands.
• Ability to proactively identify and resolve legal issues.
