As a law firm that primarily works with video game companies, everyone on staff is a gamer in their own right. Here’s what we’ve been playing this spring of 2023:
Vampire Survivors by poncle
I finally gave up on getting to 100% in Vampire Survivors. But I did spend a good bit of time trying! Recently, I just started up Ghostwire and I’m looking forward to seeing how that progresses.
Our son Max has been trying to get every single Shrine and Korok Seed in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild now, too, which has been fun. And I’ve also been working my way through playing every Zelda game since the original to prepare for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion by Isaac Childres (Tabletop)
I’ve still been playing Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion and I have been loving it! I love how expansive and D&D-like the play has been. And I love a good collaborative, campaign board game!
Wingspan by Elizabeth Hargrave (Tabletop)
Like Brandon, I have been waiting for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to drop. Along with Silksong. In the meantime, I’ve been playing board games like Wingspan, Agricola, Hive, Settlers of Catan, and a version of Splendor based on house rules.
Death’s Door by Acid Nerve (PC)
I’ve been playing Death’s Door and really enjoying it. I’m a big fan of the environmental storytelling and the combat feels incredibly smooth. I’ve also picked up Street Fighter V again in preparing for Street Fighter 6 coming soon. Outer Wilds is up next because it’s one of my brother’s favorite games.
Satisfactory by Coffee Stain Studios (PC)
My partner is a software engineer so we finally took the risk of trying out Satisfactory. We have spent way too much time on this game already. We’ve also been revisiting Deep Rock Galactic because I really, really, really wanted a chicken hat.
