Triangle ArtWorks provides programs and services for artists and art organizations in North Carolina. From professional development courses to resource directories, it’s an inclusive center to help navigate the business of art. Their mission is to provide the services, support and resources necessary to cultivate and ensure a thriving arts community in the Triangle region of NC.
Child’s Play is a game industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with toys and games in hospitals worldwide. Partner hospitals in the Child’s Play network receive an annual gift designated to support their Child Life department through games and technology. Where available partner hospitals also have Amazon Wishlists tailored to their specific needs. Child’s Play also supports their partner hospitals by providing resources like our Therapeutic Video Game Guide and acting as a hub of knowledge where gaming and technology are concerned in the children’s hospital setting.
The Food Bank of Eastern NC is an organization that has provided food to people facing hunger in 34 counties in central and eastern NC. Simply put, the Food Bank works every day to provide food to people in need while building solutions to end hunger in local communities. The Food Bank is an affiliate member of Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger relief charity. In terms of total food distributed, the Food Bank ranks in the top 15 nationally among 200 Feeding America food banks and first in North Carolina.
And AbleGamers creates opportunities that enable play in order to combat social isolation, foster inclusive communities, and improve the quality of life for people with disabilities. AbleGamers has created the largest impaneled group of people with disabilities in the world. Their Player Panel program is a collection of hundreds of players with disabilities who advise the gaming industry. AbleGamers has empowered thousands of people to connect with the gaming world, and they’ve created multiple adaptive hardware solutions by working with their engineering team and research partners.
